"Nothing Else Matters", Avril Lavigne played "Fuel", rap artist Snoop Dogg sang "Sad But True",
Korn played "One", with Limp Bizkit performing a rendition of "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)".

San Francisco, Willie Brown, proclaimed the day "Official Metallica Day" in San Francisco.
